HOW WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Don’t Miss Out on the Second Annual Great Falls Rotafest! Get ready with your Lederhosen!

Thanks again for participating in last year’s Rotafest hosted by the Great Falls Rotary Club.  We had so much fun and were able to fund many important community service projects with the proceeds that we’ve decided to make it our signature annual fundraising event!  We hope you can join us and support us again this year.

This year’s Rotafest will once again be held from 7 PM (EST) until midnight on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 and will again be held at River Bend Golf and Country Club.  Tickets will be $150 each or $100 each for tables of ten.  Ticket prices include unlimited food, beer, and wine.  Proceeds from the event are used to benefit the great charitable activities that the Rotary Club supports in our community, including raising funds for Lift Me Up, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Embry Rucker Community Center and the construction of the Children’s Science Center to be built in Fairfax.

Other examples of our work include (but are not limited to)

  • Fund diabetes research
  • Assist humanitarian relief efforts globally
  • Combat human trafficking and illegal opioids
  • Support families of cancer patients

We’ll again have a German band with over 20 musicians and singers, and a German entertainment group including traditional dancers, alpine horn blowers, accordionists and more.  There will be prizes for the most authentic costume! Ticket sales are limited and the event is expected to sell out, so brush off your Lederhosen, buy your tickets early and have fun supporting a great charitable cause!

OUR HISTORY

Since our founding in 2011, the club has supported many causes, both locally and around the world. In Fairfax County, we have helped build drainage piping at the Embry Rucker Community Shelter in Reston, supported the Hispanics Against Child Abuse and Neglect program in Bailey’s Crossroads, sponsored an early readers program at Great Falls Elementary School and adopted a segment of Georgetown Pike and much much more.

We have also supported our community by sponsoring high school and middle school level Interact Clubs, which is the youth branch of Rotary. Some of our international efforts include supporting an orphanage in Ukraine and providing food and clothing to a community in Honduras.
